Seriously, we love our VBell. We have Amazon deliveries often, and every time they ring, the dogs go nuts! VBell stopped that in it's tracks. Can't believe this is free!

Oakland, California

My mom doesn't like to answer the door. I put up a VBell code so that I can help her out when she is expecting a delivery.

Oxford, Missouri

There are 6 of us renting our house. Having our own VBell codes outside actually helps the dynamics of the house.

Adam, Cupertino

I used to fear the doorbell as the sound would wake our sleeping infant. We actually unplugged the regular doorbell now.

Frequently Asked Questions

We love questions. If you have a less common question, Ask Us Here

VBell stands for virtual doorbell. It is a small QR code that is placed on your door or over your current doorbell. When someone looks at this code from their mobile device camera, it will allow them to virtually ring your doorbell and communicate with you no matter where in the world you are. This way you never miss a delivery or visitor.

A QR Code is a type of scannable barcode that can hold data or link to an outside URL. It is basically a way to quickly transfer information without much interaction from the end user.

Front door, back door, garage door, side door. On top of, or next to your current doorbell button. You could even put it on your car door, although we think that might be a bit silly.

No problem, you can either use the same code for each, or you can create separate codes for each door so that you know which door they are ringing at that time.

Never. We do not have any identifying information or even your address on the VBell code. The code is a secure url that has a hashed parameter that points to our server only. We will not share, display, or in most cases, we wont even collect private information.

Nope, they require no batteries.

You can configure the code to reach you through your mobile phone’s built in internet, or you can add SMS notifications which will not require internet.

Nope, it is as simple as using a sticker.

Not at this time. We are not selling anything right now, therefore we do not have a need for any affiliate system.

I want to change the world somehow. This seemed like a fun way to make an impact.

No, no, no. Ring is awesome if you want a security camera / doorbell combo. Ours is designed to get you away from the required equipment aspect.

No fees. We may be adding upgrades IF we find they will cost a lot to maintain. For example, SMS notifications. While we have no problem paying for them in small usage, but if we have many users utilizing SMS notifications, the cost may br prohibitive. In cases like that, we may offer an upgrade option that will only be charged to those who choose those services.
